Despite years of international and bilateral sanctions aimed at curbing North Korea’s missile and nuclear weapons programs, Pyongyang continues improving its intercontinental ballistic missile capability and appears determined to acquire the ability to arm those missiles with nuclear warheads. On Monday, Congressman Joe Wilson, chairman of the House Armed Services Committee Readiness Subcommittee, will join Rebeccah Heinrichs and Arthur Herman for a discussion on how the U.S. and our regional allies should respond to bolster their security.

On Friday, Hudson Institute’s Center for American Seapower will assess the Trump administration’s stance on Taiwan. Seth Cropsey, William Schneider, Dennis Wilder, and Ian Easton will discuss how to fulfill and fortify the existing agreements with Taiwan and assure not only this partnership, but the U.S.’s entire network of regional and global alliances.

And yet, the Maduro administration has survived for four years. How much longer can it last in this crisis-torn country? On Wednesday, March 29, Hudson Institute’s Center for Latin America Studies will host Javier Corrales, Gustavo Coronel, and Hector Schamis for a discussion with Ambassador Jaime Daremblum on the resilience of the Maduro administration.
